Launched in 2006, Macfie Architectural Design has grown into a team of four, based on Auckland’s High Street.
Working across a spectrum of projects throughout New Zealand enables the practice to stay agile - with a focus on architecturally significant new builds and a project gallery spanning from alpine cottages, modern family homes, development projects for the department for social housing, multipurpose commercial spaces, right through to the good old kiwi bach.
Over the past 15-years, living and working in both London and Melbourne, Michael has worked on projects across the Middle East, Europe and Australasia allowing him to garner an in depth understanding of the unique considerations required in each new subject - from the practical to the purely aesthetic.
With a focus on architecturally significant new builds, Michael’s dedication to the environment and the use of recycled, low impact materials play an integral role in the studio’s design philosophy.
The driving force behind the studio, Rebecca stares the day-to-day running of the practice - from client liaison, to planning and delivery.
Working for both major brands and agencies for over a decade, Rebecca works with clients and designers to help their visions become material.
As the newest addition to the Macfie Architectural Design team, Ramon brings over 15-years experience working with a broad range of clients in the commercial, residential and public sectors.
Having worked for some of the largest architecture firms in New Zealand, Ramon’s multi-disciplinary practice helps facilitate best-in-class design and delivery to each one of the studios architectural projects.
Recently completing her Masters in Architecture from the University of Auckland, Madeline’s love of architecture is in equal parts both romantic and methodical.
